DataNet – Secures Rwandatel's Mission Critical Control Room

Rwandatel plays a key role in the social, economic and technological development of Rwanda. A team of 40 people must manage essential and complex information stored in the control room hardware, ensuring that the entire building remains within predefined temperature and humidity conditions.

Application: Mission Critical Control Room

Organization: Rwandatel Telecommunications

Background:

The control room is a mission critical environment, key to the functioning of the IT infrastructure of large-scale buildings and organizations. Without safe and secured control rooms, organizations can be cut off from all access to information databases, email or the Internet – conveying a damaging business message and reaping heavy costs.

About the Customer:

Rwandatel, the largest telecommunications and internet provider in Rwanda has over 500 km of fiber and more than 300 points of presence in the country.

Repeaters are situated throughout the building, with alarms sent to the monitor, as well as via email and SMS in real time.
